Fielden Harper, Sunday Afternoon, Mixed media, 60 x 25" |
Fielden Harper dives into narrative driven assemblages that depict the development of Los Angeles from something small to a booming megalopolis. In her series,
Continuum, each piece depicts three stages of growth: town, city, and metropolis. Harper's assemblages juxtapose form, shadow, and texture, utilizing painted wood, automotive beauty rims, and assorted found objects.
